As many of you know, I recently launched my consulting firm, Environmental Compliance and Sustainability Solutions. Today, I want to share why I took this exciting step.

I’ve always been passionate about the environment, a passion that led me to minor in Environmental Science during my undergrad and study fuel cell chemistry during my PhD. My love for sustainability has only grown, driving me to find innovative solutions to environmental challenges.

One thing I enjoy is simplifying complex subjects like regulatory compliance and breaking them down into actionable steps. As a Regional Sustainability Analyst at Novonesis, I worked with nine manufacturing facilities across North and South America. I learned there’s no single approach to meeting ISO 14001 and regulatory criteria. Each facility had unique challenges and strengths, and I shared best practices regionally, enhancing compliance and efficiency.

My experience developing contextual water management plans at Novonesis reinforced the importance of custom-tailoring sustainability initiatives. Each facility impacts the environment uniquely, and understanding these interactions is crucial for effective solutions.

It was these realizations that inspired me to start Environmental Compliance and Sustainability Solutions. I want to use my knowledge and experience to help other organizations not only navigate the complexities of environmental regulations but also to implement sustainable practices that enhance operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact. My goal is to make regulatory requirements less daunting and to help companies embrace sustainability in ways that reflect their unique environmental contexts.
